Hi, it might be that your fuel tap is clogged, or could it be that your choke is on when it should be off or the other way round ? Try fiddling with the choke and see what happens !
The spring is there because it is needed. You have to fix it or buy a new one. Maybe one from a pen could fit with some modifications ?
